Digital Medieval Manuscripts at Houghton Library

In 2008-2009 I assisted on this digitization initiative at Houghton Library.  Thanks to my background in medieval art history, I was able to create descriptive metadata for books of hours such as this one.  These digital facsimiles have been useful for classes studying the psalms and prayers used in different manuscripts (i.e. comparing the Use of Rome to Use of Sarum).

I also contributed to bibliographies for medieval manuscripts, such as this one.

About Me

An English diarist and naval administrator. I served as administrator of the Royal Navy and Member of Parliament. I had no maritime experience, but I rose to be the Chief Secretary to the Admiralty under both King Charles II and King James II through patronage, diligence, and my talent for administration.
